Celebrity Inspiration: Autumn
Where do you get your style inspiration? Often, we find ourselves strolling through streets and unexpectedly noticing the most fabulous combination of colours, textures and statement pieces. Other times, we can spend a whole Sunday morning (with a nice big pot of tea and baked breakfast goodies) glued to our computer, looking through various Instagram pages or pins on Pinterest, our minds bursting with creativity and our fingertips all to eagerly clicking on the ‘add to basket’ option!
On the blog this week, we’re shining a spotlight on a few celebrities we go back to when we find ourselves in a bit of a style slump. As you know, the team at Powder love colour, texture and attention to detail in everything that we design and create, an appreciation that each of these ladies share, even during the colder months.
As captivating in her film choices as she is in her photo shoots and magazine spreads, Sienna Miller is someone who manages to ooze bohemian style whatever she is doing. While we might’ve gone to the cinema to see Jude Law in Alfie, it was Sienna’s Bardot-like style that kept us watching.
Since then, she has always managed to provide a great flare for pattern and colour; we could definitely picture her in our Berry Satin Paisley Scarf or our own Katie hat! From the morning school-run to fashion shoots in fabulous locations, Sienna always keeps it looking effortlessly chic.
From modelling and television presenting, to writing her own book and starting her own fashion line, is there anything Alexa Chung hasn’t achieved yet? It’s no wonder that a stylishly savvy businesswoman like this one made it to our list. She makes throwing together an outfit for the day look easy and on point every time.
One of the things we love about Alexa’s style is that she has a very muted and natural colour palette for many of her looks, yet she manages to make them pop with colourful and unique accessories. We have no doubt that she would love our Enchanted Stag Scarf in Mustard, most likely pairing it with a fabulous camel coat and a pair of jeans. Keeping it classiclly charismatic.
It’s clear to see where actress Elizabeth Olsen get’s her styling advice from, especially as her older sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, designed a contemporary collection inspired by unique and vintage finds. That being said, Elizabeth would not have been named as one of our favourite style icons without making her own standout style choices.
On colder days its good to get wrapped up in materials that are soft and textured, mixing patterns and colours to help keep you warm and make more of a statement with your look. Our textured Maggie Scarf in a pink mix would look fabulous on Elizabeth for days out in the snow, paired with our Charlotte Hat in Berry to keep her head and ears nice and cosy!
